Bishop Melvin Robinson Jr.
Bishop Melvin Robinson, Jr. has a passion to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with practicality for the sole purpose of bringing people into a loving and transformative relationship with God.
He is the Senior Pastor of the Master’s Child Church. For over 18 years, he has had the awesome privilege of leading the wonderful people at the Master’s Child Church, admonishing them to maximize their fullest potential by emulating the life of Christ.
He is the only son of the founder of the Master’s Child Church, the late Bishop Melvin Robinson, Sr. and Co-Founder Erma Robinson-Fitzgerald. He is a third generation pastor, whose first official assignment was the “Minister of Music” for the Master’s Child Church at the age of 18. In 1999, God promoted Bishop Robinson, Jr. to the Pastorate of MCC and he is continuing his father’s legacy by leading and empowering God’s people.
In 2000, Pastor Robinson re-incorporated the church as a non-denomination and renamed the church: The Master’s Child Church, Inc. Within four years of serving as the Senior Pastor, he led the church in a historical event by moving from a 4,000 square foot store front church in Suitland, Maryland to a 19,000 square foot church in District Heights, Maryland.
In 2001, he founded and now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Lovingkindness Community Development Corporation, the outreach ministry of The Master’s Child Church, Inc. serving hundreds of families in need.
In 2008, he joined M.O.V.E., Ministers of Vision and Excellence. He was appointed to the board of directors and as 1st assistant by the founder and presiding Bishop, Raymond W. Johnson. Bishop Robinson, Jr. Is the host of the “Walking In Newness” radio broadcast that can be heard worldwide, every Saturday on WYCB Spirit 1340 AM, at 10am.
In 2015, Bishop Robinson along with Executive Pastor Cheryl Robinson and the Board of Trustees purchased 22 acres of land in Indian Head, MD. This land will encompass a 1500 seat worship cathedral, 140 units of senior affordable housing with homelessness prevention set-aside units, a family life center, which will include a gymnasium, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a full service daycare and a youth center for after-school activities.

Bishop Robinson, Jr. is currently pursuing a B.A. in Religious Studies from Hampton University maintaining a 4.0 GPA with aspirations to earn his doctorate degree. Melvin Robinson, Jr. is married to the love of his life Cheryl Robinson, and they are the proud parents of two children, Camille and Melvin III.
